LUOTU matchmaking and networking event - 18th May 2010, Northern Ostrobothnia

The main focus of the event is the face-to-face meetings between companies. Prior to the event, you will have the opportunity to request meetings with other companies that match your desired profile and you will also have the opportunity to meet other companies who have requested to meet you. During these meetings, you have an opportunity to share information, obtain new ideas and discover new partnerships. All you need to do is to attend the event! Please note: It is important that you commit to the whole day for this event in order to maximise the benefit to all participants.

 

The event also includes practical discussions and presentations led by experts in product and international development that are open to all participants. The day will commence with these open discussions, after which, the remainder of the morning is designated to the individual company meetings. In the afternoon, there will be a presentation about the management of a small and medium-sized company (SME) within the creative industry, after which the matchmaking and networking meetings will continue.

 

This event is open for existing companies and those who are planning to become entrepreneurs. It is free of charge and includes coffee.

There is only room for the first 140 companies, so you should act quickly to ensure that you are included – last year there was not enough room for all the prospective participants. Please carefully complete all the information on the registration form and pay special attention to a clear description of what kind of companies you wish to meet and what kind of services you are looking for. The more information you provide about your own products, services and wishes regarding potential meeting partners, the easier it will be for other participants to get a clear picture of your company.

 

The names of registered companies and their website address will be available during the whole registration period through the event website, see “Participants”. The more detailed profile data of the companies will be available to assist you in selecting your meeting partners (see below for further information).

You can also indicate on this form if you would like to meet a specific company during this event. Your wishes will be forwarded and these companies will be provided with an invitation.

 

Choosing the meeting partners - 3rd May to 9th May


On Monday 3rd May, you will receive an e-mail notice informing you about the companies registered for the event. At this stage, you can also see more detailed information regarding the registered companies. You may select companies that you wish to meet during the event during this week, please make your final choice by Sunday 9th May. After the selection process has been completed, you will be provided with a personal meeting schedule based on your own meeting choices. This meeting schedule also includes those companies who have requested to meet with you. Please, make sure that you will attend all the meetings. You will gain the best benefit from the event by preparing yourself for each meeting with a presentation and supporting material.

When you arrive at hotel Lasaretti, you will be provided with a name badge and the supporting event material. There will be numbered negotiation places set up for the matchmaking and networking discussions: you will go from one meeting to another in accordance with your personal meeting schedule. This is your opportunity to present your business and to discuss co-operation possibilities together. It would be a good idea to have a laptop or presentation material with you as these can make communication easier. It is also recommended that you ensure your computer and ‘personal’ batteries are fully charged; you will have a busy day!


National Network of Creative Industries (The Regional Cohesion and Competitivness Programme) is the responsible organisation for the LUOTU event arrangements.
